Ambulatory Care Nurse Specialist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in our Pre-Procedural Evaluation Clinic.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-centered approach to care. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient health assessments, interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
- Formulate individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
- Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner, integrating knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Advocate for patients' rights from the patient and family perspective and provide counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues.
- Access resources from all disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes and coordinate healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience. Preferred experience in Pre-Op, PACU.
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Certification: BLS certification required.
- Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Special Skills: Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required.
