Job Summary

The Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Scheduler to provide schedule support and analysis for the Senior Scheduler. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and analysis, with excellent computer skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct tasks in a manner that facilitates intra/inter-departmental business and maintain confidentiality
• Assist the Senior Scheduler and learn clinician scheduling policies and processes
• Triage contacts made to the Scheduling Team and alert the Senior Scheduler to items that require review or decision
• Perform data analysis and reporting as needed
• Co-run new Clinician Orientation and Intern Orientation meetings
• Cross-train under the Senior Scheduler to serve as backup for the Senior Scheduler and Data Management Assistant
• Maintain statistical reporting of Precepting, PNG precepting, Rounders, and Consults assigned to Holiday/Holiday weekends
• Proof pre-published clinical schedules for the Senior Scheduler
• Maintain the published clinical schedule and work with the Consult group on changes to published schedules
• Oversee, vet, and implement approvable schedule changes of mid-level complexity to the live clinical schedule
• Continually proof schedules to ensure changes have been accurately documented to all affected parties
• Maintain quarterly rounding grids, acutes backup grids, and monthly call/rounding schedules
• Consult with the Senior Scheduler on complex schedule change requests or master schedule change proposals
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities related to individual, team, and organizational performance improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Healthcare/Business Administration or computer programming
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data management and analysis, preferably in a healthcare facility or IS role
• Excellent computer skills, complete proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
