Role Overview

Cleveland State Community College is seeking an experienced educator to join our adjunct faculty pool in the Department of Psychology. As a dedicated instructor, you will have the opportunity to shape the minds of future generations and contribute to the academic success of our students.

About the Role

This position offers flexible teaching opportunities across various formats, including on-campus, online, and hybrid courses. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and teach classes as assigned, adhering to course descriptions, syllabi, and departmental guidelines.
  • Maintain academic standards and classroom behavior, ensuring an environment conducive to learning.
  • Evaluate students using various methods and inform them of their scores in a timely manner.
  • Meet deadlines for administrative requests, such as submitting personnel paperwork and final grades.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Master's degree in Psychology or a related field from a regionally accredited institution. A minimum of three years of teaching experience is preferred, with expertise in alternative delivery instructional modes highly valued.

Compensation

The salary for this position is based on your educational qualifications, with rates per credit hour as follows:

  • Master's degree: $550
  • Master's plus 30 semester hours (ABD): $575
  • Doctorate: $600
