Job Description

Job Overview:

The Advanced Practice Nurse II is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting health outcomes. This role requires a graduate-level nursing education and authorization to practice and prescribe as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to diagnose, prioritize problems, and implement interventions.
  • Provide consultation and referrals to other healthcare team members and promote collaboration among team members.
  • Assist patients and families in selecting therapies that integrate perspectives of cost and quality of benefits.
  • Design and develop innovative solutions for patient care problems that utilize resource efficiency while maintaining or improving quality and advancing best practices.
  • Participate in healthcare-related decision-making at the system, local, state, and national levels with an emphasis on improving patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Graduate from NP, CNS or midwife program
  • Specialty certification in area of expertise
  • Registered Nurse with APRN Licensure
  • Demonstrated expertise in area of clinical specialization
  • Professional membership in specialty nursing organization required within one year of start date

Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting, as well as occasional climbing and kneeling. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull objects is also required.
