About the Role

The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System plays a critical part in delivering high-quality patient care during complex cardiovascular procedures. This position demands meticulous preparation of equipment, thorough assessment of patient conditions, and strict adherence to sterile environment protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare equipment before and during procedures to ensure seamless operations.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify potential risks and adapt care plans accordingly.
  • Maintain a sterile environment through precise attention to detail and adherence to established protocols.
  • Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, promoting knowledge transfer and excellence in practice.
  • Prioritize downtime effectively by restocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
  • Foster strong professional relationships with cardiologists and leadership to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
  • One year of experience working in a Cath Lab environment preferred.
  • Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or registered with the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
  • BLS certification required; ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire.
