Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Experience Advocate to join our team at Direct Orthopedic Care.

Salary Range:$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role

The Patient Experience Advocate will serve as a primary point of contact for prospective patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless communication throughout the patient journey.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and professional responses to inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient scheduling of consultations and procedures.
  • Verify guest demographic and financial data elements, creating pre-registered accounts for scheduled visits and facilitating the pre-certification process.
  • Communicate insurance coverage and out-of-pocket responsibilities clearly, ensuring guests understand their treatment options and costs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Foster strong relationships with guests, healthcare providers, and internal stakeholders, promoting a culture of transparency, empathy, and respect.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in healthcare sales or guest care coordination.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fast-paced, high-volume sales or healthcare environments, preferably with direct-to-consumer medical experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations, remain calm under pressure, and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
