EVS Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EVS Supervisor to join our team at OLG St. Martin Hospital. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Environmental Services Aides in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our hospital interior and related properties.

• Supervise and lead Environmental Services Aides to ensure that assigned areas are maintained in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Assign personnel, equipment, and supplies in an efficient and effective manner to maximize resource utilization and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Coordinate, schedule, and conduct employee training and development to meet established performance standards, teamwork, and customer service criteria.
• Respond promptly to defects, deficiencies, and customer complaints, and follow through on service recovery and resolution.
• Exhibit flexibility in scheduling and staffing practices to accommodate unit needs.
• Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, including respect for privacy, communication style, and explanation of services or procedures.

• 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of floor care.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate Environmental Services equipment, such as automatic scrubber and burnisher.
