Role Summary
Jobot is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Compliance Specialist to join their Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring adherence to all relevant environmental regulations set forth by various governmental agencies.

About the Role
We are looking for an individual who can effectively manage environmental regulatory submissions and collaborate with the HSE team on various initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as basic data management software.

Responsibilities
This position encompasses several key responsibilities including:
  • Preparing and filing comprehensive environmental documentation in response to agency inquiries.
  • Overseeing compliance with environmental regulations and programs at the facility level, including air quality permits and emissions assessments, notifications and permits for aboveground storage tanks, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) compliance, registration and management of pesticides per Federal and state guidelines, conduct inspections and sampling for industrial stormwater, ensure adherence to industrial wastewater permitting and reporting requirements, manage waste disposal processes, prepare and submit permit applications and compliance reports, gather and analyze environmental data, coordinate and facilitate employee training on compliance matters, conduct site audits and assessments to ensure adherence to standards, support agency inspections and training exercises, including emergency response drills.


Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a role involving environmental regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data management software.
