Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the intake process for new clients, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and accurately recorded. You will also be responsible for tracking and compiling clinical information for insurance authorizations and reauthorizations, as well as verifying insurance coverage and benefits for incoming clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and referral sources
    • Create and manage a network of prospective referral sources and partnerships
    • Foster new contacts and generate new leads
    • Provide effective communication to clients, team members, and other healthcare professionals
  • Insurance
    • Track and compile clinical information for insurance authorizations and reauthorizations
    • Verify insurance coverage and benefits for incoming clients
    • Communicate with payor representatives to foster partnership and collaboration
  • Credentialing
    • Oversee and manage the credentialing and re-credentialing process for all healthcare providers
    • Ensure timely submission of applications and supporting documents to insurance companies and other credentialing entities
    • Track and follow up on the status of all submitted applications
  • Team Collaboration
    • Coordinate with the intake and clinical teams to ensure accuracy of clinical information
    • Partner with clients and staff for proper scheduling and services
Requirements
  • 2-to-4-year degree in business/healthcare administration and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience in medical/behavioral/mental health/therapy-related organization
  • 2+ years of experience with direct customer engagement, focused on growth and retention
  • Experience in an environment with a strong customer service focus
  • Commercial and Medicaid authorization experience

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Travel is minimal and primarily local during the business day.
