About the Role

Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Drupal/CMS Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Computing Services department, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing innovative digital solutions that enhance our university's online presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and customization of Drupal-based websites and applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement CMS architecture that supports scalability, performance, and security, providing strategic direction on the integration of new technologies and features.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, testing, and deployment, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including marketing, content, and IT teams, to gather requirements, provide technical solutions, and ensure the CMS aligns with organizational objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in Drupal development and CMS management, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects.
  • Proficiency in Drupal 8/9/10 development, including module and theme development.
  • Strong understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development frameworks.
  • Experience with MySQL, version control systems (Git), and web server environments.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g., Twig, React, Angular) is a plus.
