Job Summary:

This role is responsible for the technical completion of projects, communicating needs, and progressing engineering solutions for small or medium-sized projects, products, or workstreams. The successful candidate will provide technical guidance and leadership, as well as assistance to external customers as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support maintenance and sustainment of existing products through upgrades and updates using a well-defined engineering development process.
  • Create and manage schedules in an Agile environment using traditional waterfall milestones.
  • Assist Product Managers with technical issues.
  • Define and document issues with the project team.
  • Deliver engineering solutions that meet schedule and agreed scope.
  • Interface with customers on engineering requirements, issues, planning, and status updates.
  • Support cross-team collaboration using tools such as Teams.
  • Monitor software development work activities and status using tools such as Jira.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, customer representatives, third-party suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Work with functional engineering managers to support customer needs with additional resources.
  • Communicate with customers and engineering to troubleshoot issues, isolate the root cause, and deliver solutions or implement workarounds.
  • Document all relevant details from the initial report of an issue, through troubleshooting, escalation, and resolution.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex customer issues, working directly with Product Managers and Engineering when issues must be escalated.
  • Respond to customers in a professional and timely manner to deliver workarounds and solutions for complex technical problems.
Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, plus two years of related experience.
  • Experience in creating, analyzing, documenting, and tracking engineering development efforts.
  • Project management experience is a requirement.
  • Mental ability to perform engineering problem-solving and analytical tasks.
  • Ability to work under project deadlines and support the Product Team in establishing and maintaining engineering project schedules and cost budgets.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication, both verbally and in written form.
  • Some leadership experience working with and building teams.
  • Must be a US citizen, eligible for DoD security clearance.

Cubic Pay Range:

$90,000 - $110,910 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
