About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Area Sales Director to lead our sales team in a defined geography, driving revenue growth and exceeding annual company sales goals. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of top sales results, demonstrated leadership and direction, and a strong ability to build and manage relationships with customers and manufacturers.

Responsibilities
  • Implement a strategy to exceed revenue targets and hit target unit plans, while creating a compelling vision to align the sales team with the broader company goals and vision.
  • Directly responsible for developing and managing strategic accounts including the strategy, process, and execution.
  • Talent Acquisition: Work in partnership with HR to develop and manage the process to define profiles, recruit, and hire the right sales talent, ensuring that the company is meeting or exceeding the headcount plan.
  • Talent Development: Onboard and coach new hires to ensure they meet or exceed their ramp plan, and lead the development and implementation of performance expectations.
  • Drive ongoing improvements, refine the sales process to ensure account managers build strong relationships with doctors and clinics, and manage technology and tools to ensure data entry and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical, medical, diagnostic, or specialty pharmacy sales or equivalent experience, including 2 years of sales management
  • Proven consistent and documented track record of top sales results required
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and frequently change direction
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to a reliable automobile
Benefits

The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary of $160,000 - $180,000 per year, plus quarterly bonus, comprehensive medical benefits, 401K with match, paid holidays and vacation, $600 car allowance with gas card, and $50 cell phone stipend. This role requires 50-70% overnight travel throughout the assigned area.
