Job Summary:

The Speech Pathologist is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing clinical services to patients with communication disorders. This role requires a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and a current state license. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services to patients with communication disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and standards of care.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Supervise and educate students, new employees, and colleagues in training.
  • Participate in patient care conferences and staff meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state Speech Pathologist license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Basic computer skills, including word processing and email.
  • Current certificate of clinical competence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hospital setting.
  • Experience working with the target population to be treated.

Work Environment:

This role is based at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
