As an Electrical Infrastructure Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with our nationwide team on various substation projects, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors, and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create or modify single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control schematics, communication diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable lists, and relay panel arrangements for new or existing substations.
  • Perform calculations such as DC battery sizing, AC load sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill, and control cable sizing.
  • Develop technical specifications for major equipment like power transformers, power circuit breakers, control enclosures, and other related high-voltage materials.
  • Coordinate with SCADA engineers, substation physical engineers, and P&C design staff to fully develop system integration of protection, control, and monitoring systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Or Bachelor of Science in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals, including understanding of three-phase power systems.
  • Familiarity with microprocessor-based protection and control systems with the ability to understand one-lines and control schematics.
  • Mastery of relevant codes and standards such as NEC, NESC, IEEE, NEMA, and ANSI.
