About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Principal Engineer to join our team at Baxter, a leading global healthcare company. As a key member of our engineering development team, you will play a critical role in exploring, developing, and delivering innovative healthcare solutions that align with our Clinical Nutrition strategic direction and operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply a solid understanding of theories and practices utilized by other disciplines outside the primary area of expertise to develop new or enhanced products or processes.
  • Plan, execute, and functionally direct important engineering assignments, requiring independent judgment.
  • Identify and analyze design problems to achieve optimal solutions that satisfy cost and technical requirements.
  • Formulate new, innovative approaches to solve technical problems on a consistent basis.
  • Provide technical supervision to lower-level systems engineers and other technical personnel.
  • Perform financial planning and assist in the analysis to justify project approval.
  • Champion new design and process improvements that impact the business.
Requirements
  • Must have experience and display a solid understanding of theories and practices utilized by other disciplines outside the primary area of expertise.
  • Completely proficient in relevant products or process development processes.
  • Successful track record of managing wide-ranging activities within the business unit and strong leadership skills.
  • Recognized as a technical expert by peers and other personnel within the business unit.
  • Extensive cross-functional team experience, including technical and non-technical work.
  • Ability to organize and present technical and project management overviews without assistance.
  • B.S. degree in Engineering and 8-10 years of experience. M.S. degree in Engineering preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.

The estimated base salary for this position is $120,000 to $165,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.

Individual pay is based on upon location, skills, and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
