Medical Director for Diverse Primary Care Setting

WCS Healthcare Partners seeks a highly skilled Medical Director to lead their primary care team in Manhattan.
About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity to serve as a medical director, overseeing clinical medicine and guiding a diverse patient population. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and treating medical illnesses, referring patients to specialists when necessary
- Providing full-spectrum primary care, including routine check-ups and managing chronic conditions
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and peer review chart audits
- Assisting in staff supervision, recruitment, and evaluation, as well as oversight of lab and radiology services
- Collaborating with the quality improvement committee and attending board of directors meetings as assigned
The successful candidate can expect a competitive compensation package, including:
- A salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per annum, based on experience
- A comprehensive benefits plan, including health, dental, vision, disability insurance, and a generous PTO policy
- Expenses for licensure, dues, and continuing medical education (CME)
- Employed position with paid medical malpractice coverage, including tail protection
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
- A medical degree (MD) and relevant training or certification
- Experience in primary care, preferably in a community health setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proven track record of quality improvement and patient-centered care
