Job Summary:

Safely operate a heavy-duty truck into a variety of environments; Residential, Commercial, and Construction. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); Immediately report any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch before attempting service.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive a heavy-duty commercial vehicle in accordance with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state and federal requirements and Company expectations for the Fleet;
  • Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts;
  • Participate and cooperate in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by Route Manager.

Requirements:

  • Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) required;
  • 4 years operating a vehicle requiring a CDL required or equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years required;
  • Knowledge of company safe driving practices.
