As a highly skilled Information Technology Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the technology infrastructure of Gilliatte General Contractors, Inc. With a strong background in IT support and experience working in the construction industry, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks.

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively work with all levels of employees, from entry-level staff to senior management.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software. Troubleshoot and resolve end-user computing issues.
  • Technical Support: Set up and configure new laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
  • Research and Development: Research new technology and recommend changes to improve our computer or information systems.
  • Firewall Management: Assist in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls and network devices.

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional availability on weekends. We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, including Cytracom (Phone System), PlanGrid (Construction Management), SQL Server, and Working with a Plotter. You will also have the chance to develop your skills in software and hardware troubleshooting, as well as Windows networking.
