Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Technician to join our team at BHE Renewables, LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our PV solar equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on PV solar equipment, including electrical generation and distribution systems.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and calibration issues in complex distributed control systems.
  • Conduct inspections and testing to ensure equipment is functioning within safe and efficient parameters.
  • Document all work performed, including maintenance reports, inspection reports, and safety observations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field, or relevant experience in power plant operation/maintenance.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in PV solar operations/maintenance, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical fundamentals of PV systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid California driver's license and ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, heights, and confined spaces. The employee must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment, and work in areas with loud noises and hazardous materials.
