Job Title: Soccer Team Assistant Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Soccer Team Assistant Coach to join our team at Waterbury Public Schools.

About the Role:
  • Assist in instructing student athletes in soccer skills, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to promote positive relationships with students, coaches, and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Coach and other school staff to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Instruct student athletes in soccer techniques and strategies.
  2. Develop and implement practices and game plans that align with school goals.
  3. Provide feedback and coaching to improve player performance.
  4. Maintain open communication with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a soccer coach or assistant coach.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and adapt to changing situations.
  • Physical stamina to participate in practices and games.
