Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at Chartwells K12. This is a part-time position that requires excellent organizational and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the food service team, including answering phones and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Maintain confidential personnel files and assist with staffing needs, including finding staff members when employees call out on short notice.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, school personnel, administrators, parents, and supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of students eligible for free and reduced-price lunches, if applicable.
  • Enter weekly cash sales and meal counts using a computer system.
  • Perform daily bank deposit reconciliations and process vendor invoices for payment.
  • Prepare monthly state claim forms for reimbursement and assist in preparing end-of-month financial reports.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in food service or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
