Job Summary

As a key member of our healthcare team, the Access Specialist I plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient registration and revenue cycle processes. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview and register patients, obtaining necessary information for billing and treatment
  • Obtain signatures for permission for treatment and reimbursement for services
  • Ensure pre-authorizations are obtained for treatment and all other reimbursement requirements are met
  • Discharge patients upon completion of treatment
  • Assist with posting and verifying of charges, as well as maintaining medical records
  • Perform all tasks and duties in compliance with department and hospital policies
Requirements
  • High School diploma
  • Prefer one year of hospital or clinic revenue cycle experience
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Medical terminology required
