Job Title: Regular Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Regular Faculty member in the Department of Psychology and Communication at the University of Idaho.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses in human communication, including research methods, interpersonal communication, small group communication, persuasion, communication theory, and upper division electives. The ideal candidate will have a strong research program and a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach a range of courses in human communication, including research methods, interpersonal communication, small group communication, persuasion, communication theory, and upper division electives.
  • Develop and maintain a research program that informs and advances our understanding of human communication.
  • Participate in department service and mentor students.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Communication or Communication Studies.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses.
  • Experience teaching in both in-person and online formats.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience seeking or obtaining external funding.
  • Experience with mentoring undergraduate students.
  • Ability to conduct and publish independent and collaborative research.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff in the department and across campus.
  • Experience with academic program assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
