About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team at Gold Road Resources Limited. As an Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations are conducted in a responsible and sustainable manner, in accordance with all relevant environmental laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential environmental impacts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
  • Manage and oversee environmental projects, including monitoring and reporting on environmental performance.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that employees understand their environmental responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective environmental management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, including ISO 14001.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
