Job Responsibilities

">
  1. Implement administrative goals and policies, ensuring they are effectively communicated to nurses on the units.
  2. Assist in meeting staffing requirements during each shift.
  3. Round the nursing units daily to assess resident conditions and needs, informing the Director of Nursing of any changes or issues.
  4. Monitor the delivery of nursing care to ensure orders are carried out as directed and treatment is administered according to physician instructions.
  5. Support newly employed nurses and clinical placement of nursing students through orientation.
  6. Arrange hospital transfers for residents as needed.
  7. Maintain flexibility to perform nursing care, administer medication, and provide treatments when required.
  8. Collaborate with the Staffing Coordinator to ensure appropriate staffing levels are met for each unit.
  9. Drive organizational growth and development through creativity and initiative.

Requirements

  • Hold a current NY State Registered Nurse License
  • possess at least one year of supervisory experience
  • Possess an Associate Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred
