Business Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Business Development Director to build a lead generation pipeline to support the sales teams.
* Partner with Branch Managers, Outside Sales, and Marketing teams to create and maintain new and existing business relationships effectively.
* Source and develop leads in the electric distribution market, creating demand for closing profitable orders from sales teams on all product lines.
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring smooth and efficient transitions to branch and inside sales teams for customer maintenance.
* Support customers' needs to feel informed about all relevant company offerings and vendor policies.
* Report competitive conditions, customer financial weaknesses, and customer feedback to management.
* Execute sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner that reflects favorably on the company's reputation.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
* 1+ years of professional experience building business development functions in electrical distribution environments.
* Knowledge of electrical distribution, product applications, and industry sales experience.
* Track record of quota attainment and accountability for revenue achievement.
* Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask and communicate effectively to all functions of the business.
* Proficiency with sales metrics and CRM software.
Working Conditions:
* Professional office environment.
* Travel to meet with customers necessary.
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
