Neurology Nurse Specialist

About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. As a Neuro Care Unit Registered Nurse RN, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients with neurological conditions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting. A current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a Multistate Compact License is required. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
- Patient Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers about their medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
