Job Summary:

As a skilled HVAC Specialist at Medstar, you will be responsible for performing highly skilled maintenance and repair work on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. This includes performing repairs and maintenance on ice machines, refrigerators, freezers, water coolers, and air conditioning equipment. You will also be responsible for detecting malfunctioning equipment and making quality improvement or cost containment recommendations. Additionally, you will work on the snow removal team, plowing, shoveling, and salting of walkways and driveways.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform repairs and maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
  2. Detect malfunctioning equipment and make quality improvement or cost containment recommendations.
  3. Work on the snow removal team.
  4. Consistently display professionalism in dealings with customers, staff, and physicians.
  5. Participate in training and development activities.
Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Equivalent work experience in lieu of education may be considered required.
  • Completion of trade school and/or apprenticeship program required.
  • 3-4 years related experience required.
  • CFC certification required.
  • HVACR (MD) preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements including all State, Federal and JCAHO regulation.
Hiring Range: $23.19 - $38.49
