Job Summary:

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Northern Light Acadia Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing directed occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of an occupational therapist. This position requires a strong understanding of the department's strategic plan and the ability to conduct oneself in a fiscally responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Request and order necessary supplies, support materials, and patient equipment needs.
  • Participate in promoting department growth and meeting administrative requirements of the hospital and department.
  • Complete daily patient charges and billing procedures that accurately reflect services provided.
  • Continually strive to keep abreast of insurance requirements.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with manager and department staff to ensure achievement of common goals.
  • Recognize and successfully intervene and/or seek appropriate assistance when faced with difficult situations which interfere with positive department outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant certification.
  • Associate's degree.
