Job Opportunity: Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team and contribute to the resolution of problems and continuous improvement of products, processes, and the quality management system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing effective process and product controls, resolving in-process quality issues, and evaluating raw materials and finished goods against customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement systems and processes to prevent internal and external failures.
  • Lead investigations and resolutions for nonconformances, customer complaints, and supplier quality concerns using disciplined problem-solving techniques.
  • Capture and maintain quality scorecard metrics and recommend improvements to transition the organization from reactive to proactive culture.
  • Design systems for recording and analyzing product quality levels and interpret trends and improvement plans as part of the Quality Operating System.
  • Create, modify, and implement sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions.
  • Maintain gage calibration systems to support measurement needs in production and QA.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, or Equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Dependable individual with thorough completion of tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimension & Tolerance System.
  • Good analytical skills and experience with basic quality tools.
  • Experience with CMM, Optical Comparator, Veri-roll, and Peko.
  • Proficient in PC word processing and spreadsheet software skills.
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with vendors and communicate effectively.
  • Initiative to work independently and manage overall tasks.
  • Courage to take on challenges with possible failure.
  • Passion for learning and available for travel with short notice.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges between $65,000 and $85,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, benefits, and opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
