Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients throughout events, addressing any changes or special requests.
  • Hire, supervise, and develop staff in the Front of House F&B department, including bartenders, beverage cart drivers, hosts/hostesses, and snack bar attendants.
  • Conduct training and refresher classes for Front of House F&B personnel, ensuring correct procedures and high standards.
  • Oversee daily accounting procedures, forecasting, and budgeting for the F&B operation.
  • Maintain cost controls, conduct monthly inventory, and implement F&B sales/marketing programs.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase banquet business and revenue.
  • Order and manage inventory, including alcohol and beverages, following the PO buying process.
  • Ensure quality assurance, guest service, and training of all employees.
  • Uphold Troon Food and Beverage policies and institute all Troon Human Resources guidelines.
  • Coordinate between all departments, developing and implementing creative strategies to increase revenues.
  • Plan and coordinate special events and functions, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
  • Responsible for overall guest satisfaction, ensuring all employees conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations.
  • Comply with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire, and other local/state laws.
  • Closing procedures and appropriate cash handling practices.
Requirements
  • College degree preferred.
  • Must have related experience in F&B, preferably in a club environment.
  • Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws.
  • Must have food and beverage/a la carte and banquet experience.
  • Must have proven management experience.
  • Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have strong customer/guest orientation.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
