Job Description

This position is responsible for managing the overall financial planning, results reporting, and supporting analytics/analysis for the Health and Risk Solutions Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Financial Planning: Manage the development and delivery of monthly financial forecasts, early indicators of results, and enhancements to forecasting models and performance trackers.">
  • Results Reporting: Analyze and report financial results, produce KPI, DOE, MBR & QBR reports, and deliver results reporting packages used to communicate business results.">
  • Financial Modeling: Develop, deliver, and continuously evolve financial dashboards and supporting financial results analysis to enhance understanding and communication of drivers of results.">
  • Pricing and Valuation: Coordinate with pricing and valuation teams to analyze and report on financial profitability of business.">
  • Product Level Financial Profitability: Develop, analyze, and report on product level financial profitability.">
  • Investment Income and Capital Performance: Coordinate with ALM and Capital Management to analyze and explain investment income and income on capital performance.">
  • BermudaRe Relationship: Manage BermudaRe relationship, including quarterly/annual review meetings, improved understanding of BermudaRe financials, and annual treaty updates.">
  • Capital Reduction Strategies: Support evaluation of other possible structures to reduce capital.">
  • Business Insights: Provide business insights and recommendations to management through research, issue identification, and analysis.">
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing team, provide objectives, feedback, training, guidance, and development opportunities.">
  • Culture and Talent Development: Attract, retain, and develop top talent within a high-performing culture.">

  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Ability to dig deep into data to present findings and recommendations.">
  • Financial Modeling Expertise: Strong skills in financial modeling, PowerPoint, and presentation.">
  • Management Experience: Proven experience in managing and developing teams.">
  • Insurance Industry Knowledge: Substantial knowledge and experience in the insurance industry, preferably in health insurance and/or stop loss products.">
