Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at ECHN. This is a Temporary Position that requires the ability to provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, and possess basic computer skills.

About the Role
As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of patients' conditions and care needs. You will demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles over the life span and provide age-appropriate care to patients served. Your duties will include interpreting data about patient status, identifying each patient's age-specific needs, and providing education on pain management. You will also develop and revise individualized plans of care as indicated by assessment and patient response to treatment. Additionally, you will follow the five medication rights, reduce the potential for medication errors, and perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and promotes positive patient outcomes.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing, current licensure in the state of Connecticut, and certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support. You should also be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess basic computer skills. Our ideal candidate will be flexible, organized, and able to function under stressful situations, utilizing critical thinking skills and sound judgment in priority setting and delegation.

Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits, which will be discussed during the hiring process.
