**Job Summary**

We are seeking a Forestry Laborer to join our team at the City of Lawrence Police Department - Kansas. As a Forestry Laborer, you will be responsible for operating large scale equipment, performing general labor tasks, and assisting with traffic control set up.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Operating large scale equipment, including chippers
  • Performing general labor tasks, such as lifting stem wood and dragging brush
  • Assisting with traffic control set up

**Requirements**

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Knowledge and identification of trees is desirable but not necessary

**Work Environment**

The job duration is approximately 10 months, from spring through late fall. General work hours are 6:00AM to 2:30PM, Monday through Friday.

**Pay and Benefits**

  • Pay Type: Hourly
  • Employment Indicator: Seasonal
  • Min Hiring Rate: $15.00
  • Max Hiring Rate: $18.00
