Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a skilled Travel Accounting Administrator to join our Business Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing and auditing travel expense reports for approved company and non-employee travelers. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement of expenses, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and audit travel expense reports for company and non-employee travelers.
  • Source of administrative knowledge for answering traveler's questions and communicating effectively with written and oral interactions.
  • Input travel information into travel systems.
  • Prepare reimbursement to company travelers for approved expenses for travel and moving expenses.
  • Reconcile assigned General Ledger accounts and suspense accounts.
  • Make necessary and required travel accruals.
  • Demonstrate practices by identifying and making recommendations to resolve travel accounting issues.
  • Liaison between Finance and Human Resources Relocation SME.
  • Help with financial reviews and learn the relocation procedures.
  • Process various types of accounts payable invoices (purchase order invoices, vendor payment requests, subcontractor labor).
  • Maintain adequate payment records.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Resolve issues and concerns regarding vendor payments.
  • Perform other accounts payable tasks requiring knowledge of accounts payable procedures.
  • Analyze vendor payments, research requesting payment information, review audit trails for appropriate cost distribution and other similar projects.
  • Prepare and input cost distribution journals.
  • Support testing of system updates and enhancements.
  • Understand and interpret technical material, rules, regulations, and instructions.
  • Use database management systems and related software.
  • Areas of Specialty may include Accounts Payable/Receivable, Payroll, Benefits, etc.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements: Level 2-Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Level 3-Bachelor's Degree and 2 years OR High School Diploma and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
