Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will be essential in implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring and recording patient condition, and serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

Requirements

BLS and ACLS certification
National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
The ability to stand for extended periods
Strong technical skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of RN Labor & Delivery experience
Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
Active unencumbered RN Indiana state license
One year of Epic experience
NRP Certification
Fetal monitoring Certification and experience

Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
Participates in relevant continuing education programs
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks
