About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee at East Glen. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in nursing care while working under the supervision of experienced professionals.

Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact on the lives of residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing routine daily nursing care and services to residents, including activities of daily living, personal care, and assisting with mobility and transfers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Ensure resident rooms and care areas are clean and tidy.
  • Participate in the orientation of new residents to our facility.
  • Document care as instructed and required.
  • Report any changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
  • Check each resident regularly to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from various activities and programs.
  • Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as directed.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, and moving residents as needed.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be willing to obtain certification within 4 months of hire. You must also be able to move consistently throughout the workday, reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently, and push, pull, or move a minimum of 100 pounds using proper body mechanics and assistance.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $30,000 per year, paid for time worked while completing CNA training. After certification, you will become eligible for benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
