About the Role

We are seeking a talented Footwear Designer II to join our Performance Run and Training footwear team at Under Armour. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for driving concepts and innovation for our Performance Run and Training footwear lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with design leadership to develop and drive concepts for Performance Run and Training footwear.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Development teams to meet project objectives.
  • Lead the creation of seasonal footwear projects and milestone deliverables.
  • Present design project work within individual project teams and at category design checkpoints.
Requirements
  • Possess a passion for design and product creation.
  • Have a motivation to create compelling, purposeful, performance footwear products.
  • Be able to think outside the box on footwear concepts rooted in performance needs.
  • Exhibit creative problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to be a great teammate with a positive attitude and energy.
  • Drive partnerships beyond the Design function (Marketing, Engineering, Development, etc.).
  • Have a strong knowledge of form, color, materials, and human factors related to elevating the consumer experience.
  • Be proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
  • Have a working knowledge of 3D software (a plus).
  • Exhibit strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills.
  • Have a strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project.

This role is based in Baltimore or Portland, with the option to work remotely 3 days a week.
