Electrical Assembler Job Description

At Point Eight Power, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team. As an Electrical Assembler, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality electrical assembly techniques to contribute to our team's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute workmanship on production projects, including large line-ups and complex sections, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Install electrical components and devices onto pans and into enclosures, following drawing packages, assembly guides, and instructions.
  • Prepare and install electrical components, switches, meters, breaker cells, breakers, nameplates, sensors, and other devices, with minimal supervision.
  • Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools, including overhead cranes, pallet jacks, tilt tables, saw horses, stools, ladders, torque wrenches, drills, hand tools, air and electric power tools, and tape measures.
  • Interpret and apply intermediate electrical manufacturing knowledge and principles, reading specifications to make determinations on component parts, methods, sequencing, and advising team members of errors to technical drawings.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area, complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including Quality Check Lists, QCP Deficiencies, and Discrepancy Lists.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience assembling electrical switchboards from a drawing package in our manufacturing facility.
  • 2 years of experience working in an electrical apprenticeship, as an electronic repairman, or HVAC installer, preferred.
