Job Summary:

The Certified Nurse Assistant provides quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care by assisting patients with activities of daily living, as well as other physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

As a member of the MercyOne Clinton Medical Center healthcare team, the Certified Nurse Assistant works under the direct supervision of a registered professional nurse to provide care consistent with the mission of MercyOne Clinton Medical Center, vision of patient care services, evidence-based standard of care, and established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with feeding, hygiene, and physical care
  • Record and report vital signs, intake and output, weight, and behavioral changes
  • Collect specimens and perform diagnostic procedures as directed
  • Provide care and prevention necessary to keep patients safe

Requirements:

  • Certified Nurse Aide certification from the State of Iowa
  • BLS certification within 3 months of hire
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a related field preferred
