About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Optum. As a key member of our integrated care team, you will work closely with pediatric primary care providers to deliver high-quality behavioral health services to children and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral health consultation and treatment for pediatric patients ages 0-24, including initial consultations and scheduled follow-up care as needed.
  • Deliver short-term, effective, evidence-based interventions to help children and families achieve targeted behavioral goals.
  • Enhance patient engagement by providing brief problem-focused interventions, behavioral activation, and motivational interviewing.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including prescribers, PCPs, nurses, and medical assistants, to develop and deliver treatment plans.
  • Communicate with collateral contacts, including school personnel, community-based behavioral health providers, and state agency caseworkers, to coordinate behavioral health care.
Requirements
  • Clinical Psychologist or LICSW licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Experience working within an integrated model, with a preference for CANS Assessor certification and a minimum of 3 years of practice experience.
