Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team as a travel radiopharmaceutical specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceutical agents to patients prior to imaging procedures.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of nuclear medicine principles and practices, with experience in preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals under the supervision of a radiologist. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide technical support and ensure the safe and effective use of radioactive materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare radiopharmaceutical agents according to established protocols
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients prior to imaging procedures
  • Operate scanning equipment and perform imaging procedures
  • Assist patients during procedures and maintain accurate patient records
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by following radiation safety guidelines
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology or related field
  • 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine technology
  • ARRT (N) certification and registration in nuclear medicine
  • State-specific licensure when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Salary:

$120,000 per year based on 32 hours per week and 8 hour shifts
