Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, and dressing needs
  • Promote person-centered planning and effective communication
  • Provide mobility support, walking assistance, and physical exercises
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment through light housekeeping
  • Dispense medication according to established protocols
  • Offer companionship and social interaction
  • Accompany clients on errands and shopping trips

Requirements

  • Previous experience in caregiving or related roles is preferred
  • First aid and CPR certification is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
  • Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Decision-making and task completion with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility in responding to changing situations
  • Maintenance of confidentiality and professionalism
  • English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Compassionate, respectful, and ethical approach
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
  • Successful completion of DHS background study
  • Age 18 or older

Compensation

Estimated salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
