Job Overview:In the heart of Colorado, a dynamic and patient-focused environment is seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Specialist to join its team. As a key member of our sleep diagnostics department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care for patients with sleep-related disorders.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position with 36 hours scheduled per week, working on night shifts. You will be responsible for operating complex equipment, performing sleep lab procedures, and coordinating data collection. Your exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to comprehend polysomnographic acquisitions, initiate treatment plans, and follow decision trees based on findings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise in operating equipment and performing all sleep lab procedures.
- Perform patient hook-up and machine calibrations according to department policies.
- Ensure accurate data collection by following established procedures.
- Routinely score studies, prepare reports for physician analysis, and initiate treatment plans.
- Record observations, sleep stages, and clinical events to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
- Participate in equipment maintenance, identifying and reporting abnormalities.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should possess a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification with 2 years of experience in sleep diagnostics or equivalent qualifications. Basic MS Office and Windows skills are also essential. Prior experience with Sleep/Works computerized acquisition systems is preferred.
Working Conditions:
This role requires ongoing visual inspection, manual dexterity for delicate equipment handling, and frequent interactions with healthcare providers and patients. You will need to lift supplies and equipment, navigate crowded rooms, and stand for extended periods. Regularly scheduled breaks and a supportive work environment will help mitigate these demands.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $54,148 and $81,836, depending on experience.
