Job Summary

At Soliant, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to work with students who have a range of learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other staff to ensure students receive necessary accommodations and modifications.
  • Provide direct instruction in small group and individual settings, using methods that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Track and monitor student progress, making adjustments to goals and interventions as needed.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and progress.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and staff about student progress and support strategies.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by state and federal laws.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Nebraska Special Education Teaching License.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage a diverse caseload.
  • Experience working with students with varying disabilities is a plus.
