Job Summary

We are seeking a School Bus Driver to join our team at Haywood County Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being during the journey.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, good communication abilities, and a strong commitment to student safety. They will also be required to maintain accurate records, follow bus maintenance procedures, and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Safe transportation of students to and from school
  • Maintenance of accurate records, including bus maintenance schedules and student attendance
  • Adherence to all relevant laws and regulations regarding school bus operations
  • Good communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school staff

Requirements:

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with school bus certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
