Secure Systems Architect Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Secure Systems Architecture to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our Secure Information Systems Department, you will be responsible for driving the development of secure system product lines and ensuring robust secure solutions are verified and validated in a fast-paced agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a scaled agile systems process working with product owners and functional leads to reduce time to market and meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement agile processes and tools to support the development of secure systems.
  • Lead bids and proposal work, and work across engineering functions to achieve program objectives.
  • Promote, mature, and grow the application and use of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for the product line.
  • Support the training and growth of the SE team on the product line and ensure best practices are adhered to.
Requirements:
  • Expert experience with integrating software and firmware on Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and System-on-Chip (SOCs).
  • Supporting development projects from concept through implementation and integration.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
  • S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
