CNC Sales Professional for Precision Machining

About the Job
As a Sales Engineer at The Robert E. Morris Company, you will play a vital role in supporting the Capital Equipment sales process by providing technical expertise to improve productivity of machine tool users.
You will work closely with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and follow-up, developing strong relationships with customers from pre-sales to project completion.
The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree (or related field) and 3+ years of experience in CNC machine technology and applications, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
We offer a competitive starting salary of $70,000-$90,000 per year, comprehensive health benefits, generous vacation policy, and 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical information and support to customers to improve productivity of machine tool users
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers from pre-sales to project completion
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and follow-up
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by our company
- Support a broad range of tooling and machine accessory projects within a Capital equipment sales territory
- Establish yourself as the central knowledge base for associated machine accessories, work holding, and tool holding products
- Develop solutions for process optimization and manage related projects from concept to completion
- Participate in continuous education meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay current with new products, processes, and technologies
- Cultivate a sales territory to generate revenue when not supporting Capital machine projects
- Be responsive to customers and Capital sales staff in resolving issues promptly and professionally
Requirements:
- Engineering degree (or related field)
- 3+ years of experience in CNC machine technology and applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to excel in a team environment as well as when working independently
- Bring a strategic approach to all work and creativity for solving challenges
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills – must be able to effectively present products and information to customers in one-on-one and group settings
- Ability to communicate professionally in oral and written exchanges
