Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join their team. This role requires a strong background in diesel mechanics and problem-solving skills to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
About the RoleThe Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fleet road equipment, including tractors, trailers, and other maintenance vehicles. This involves performing preventative maintenance, managing inventory, and documenting repairs while ensuring a safe work environment.
The successful candidate will have 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or 2 years of experience with TK or Refrigeration certification. They must also possess excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously, and adapt to changing organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and other maintenance vehicles
- Perform preventative maintenance within company standards
- Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations
- Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping
- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or 2 years of experience with TK or Refrigeration certification
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs and priorities
- Must be able to lift up to 120-150 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- $26.00 per hour salary
