Data-Driven Backend Developer for Scalable Sales Platform

About the Role:
">We are seeking a highly skilled Data-Driven Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our scalable sales platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance backend systems that can handle large volumes of data.
Key Responsibilities:
">- Design and develop robust backend systems using Python, Hadoop, Hive, and Spark
- Work closely with data scientists to integrate machine learning models into our platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems
- Maintain and improve existing codebase to ensure high performance and scalability
- Develop and implement RESTful APIs and webhooks using Node.js and Django/Flask
Requirements:
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
Technical Skills:
">- 5-7 years of experience in backend development with Python, Bash, Git, and Linux
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Node.js, Django/Flask, and RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of database design and software architecture

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Interview Process:

- A technical interview with a data scientist
- A coding challenge
- A final interview with the hiring manager
Internal/External Customer:
">Our internal sales teams use the Compass platform to upsell The Client Products.
Impact to the Internal/External Customer:
">The platform allows sales teams to upsell products more accurately, increasing revenue for The Client.
Business Challenge:
">Our current sales platform is at max capacity and can only analyze up to 150 customers at a time. To continue generating revenue, we need to scale the platform by adding additional developers to work on it.
EVP:
">This role will help The Client increase revenue quarter over quarter. You will directly contribute to building a team from scratch with high-visibility to the new VP Alvio.
